HELP & SERVICE GUIDE

Everything you can do on Ranjot IMEI

This guide explains the public tools and what happens after you submit information. No account is needed for normal public use.

1. IMEI device identification

Enter a 15-digit IMEI on the home page. The first eight digits identify the device family in the Ranjot TAC/device database. If a reliable match exists in the separate rich specification database, the same result also shows display, camera, chipset, battery, network, storage, colours and additional technical fields.

2. Device specification search

The Specifications page searches the rich device catalogue directly by manufacturer or model. This is useful when you do not have an IMEI. Admin updates to the live specification database are reflected on both the specification search and compatible IMEI results.

3. Lost, stolen and found reports

A report receives a private tracking reference. Duplicate active claims for the same IMEI are detected and logged for review. A report does not automatically prove ownership or change a device's public status; an administrator reviews the case before publishing status changes.

4. Track and reply without email

Open Track & Reply and enter your reference. You can read public updates and send additional information directly into the same conversation. Admin replies can be labelled by department, such as Support, IT Department, API Team, HR or Administration. Your private contact details and full IMEI are not displayed on the public tracking page.

5. General support messages

Messages sent from the About page now receive a tracking reference. Email and phone are optional for general support because the conversation can continue through the tracking portal.

6. API access

Organisations can submit an API access request and track its review online. Approval, rejection and questions are visible under the same reference. API credentials are sensitive and are not published on the public tracking page.

7. Data corrections

If an IMEI identifies the wrong device, use the correction option on the result. Corrections enter a private admin review queue and never overwrite the live device database automatically.

8. Privacy and cookies

Essential storage is used for core preferences and security. Functional, analytics and advertising categories are optional. Advertising stays off until consent is given, and supported Global Privacy Control signals are respected. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details.
