Terms of Use
Last updated: 13 September 2026.
1. Service
Ranjot provides an independent device-identification service and private lost/stolen/found reporting workflow. Basic public lookup is free. API access may be subject to approval, limits or separate commercial terms.
2. Informational results
Device identification and Ranjot status information can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. Do not rely on this site as the sole basis for purchasing a device, accusing a person of wrongdoing, proving ownership, or determining official blacklist/network/police/insurance status.
3. Reports
You must submit truthful information and only information you are entitled to provide. Do not use reporting tools to harass, threaten, defame, impersonate, falsely accuse or expose another person's private information. We may reject, remove or investigate abusive reports.
4. Found devices
A found-device report does not transfer ownership or authorise you to access another person's device/data. Follow applicable law and reasonable lost-property procedures. Ranjot may try to help make contact but does not guarantee recovery.
5. API use
API keys are confidential. Approved users must stay within limits, secure keys appropriately, avoid scraping/abuse, and comply with applicable law. We may suspend or revoke access.
6. Prohibited activity
You may not attack, bypass access controls, overload, reverse-engineer protected functionality, bulk-harvest personal information, use the service unlawfully, or misrepresent Ranjot results as official GSMA/carrier/police verification.
7. Intellectual property and data
Ranjot branding, site design and original code/content are protected as applicable. Device-identification data may include open-source/public data subject to its own licences and attribution requirements.
8. Advertising and third-party links
Advertisements and external links may lead to third parties. Their products, claims, content, privacy and terms are their responsibility unless explicitly stated otherwise.
9. Availability
The service may change, be limited, suspended or withdrawn. Free features and limits are not guaranteed permanently.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, the service is provided for informational purposes and Ranjot is not responsible for losses caused by relying on inaccurate device data, third-party content or unavailable services where liability may lawfully be limited.
11. Contact
Device-data correction submissions
Correction suggestions are reviewed before use. Submitting a correction does not guarantee that it will be accepted, and Ranjot may reject, amend or investigate a suggestion before updating the identification database.
